6 New Ways to Eat Corn on the Cob

Article Date - 08/07/2016

COMMENT: "And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all" (Luke 17:26-27).

"Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed" (Luke 17:28-30).

The focus of the verses happens to be on the eating and drinking. The article itself is not sinful, in fact, getting any information from the article is not sinful. Eating and drinking is not sinful. All we want to point out is the obsession people have with eating and drinking. Why are their tons of cookbooks today? Why are there tons of articles, like this one, offering different ways to eat a simple food? In fact, a while back there was an article revealing numerous different waters. Really? It's water. Drink it. And lots of it.

Why are there even so many different cooking shows on TV? It is because people have grown to obsess over food. The thought is, if we cannot serve at least 365 different meals without repeating a single one, then there is something wrong with us. God gave us food to simply be eaten. A lot of it should be eaten in the natural state, while some ought to be cooked, baked, roasted, etc. to get other nutrients from the same food. But let us face it, corn on the cob is corn on the cob. Just eat it already and stop obsessing over it.
