COMMENT: So, the defense is the inability to say that this is wrong. It was done to him so he is just passing it along. When will people be held accountable for adult decisions and take responsibility of dealing with their own backgrounds? "The LORD [is] longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing [the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation]" (Numbers 14:18). But if the defense shows no remorse, how can forgiveness be granted? What about the protection of children? The person should be punished not only for the wrong done, but so that this person, who implies that he probably do it again, is kept away from the opportunity. This is poor enforcement of the law.
