How did the moon form? God. End of story. It is a lot easier to believe in God whom people struggle with regarding the origin as compared to this nonsense.

The collision theory has many flaws. The rock content of the moon is unique compared to the earth. In other words, rocks from the moon are not found on earth. So if the moon formed by the debris from the earth after the collision, then the two soils should have similarities, but they don't.

Next, are we to assume then that the earth healed itself? From the diagram given, 1/10th of the earth should be a giant crater. Supposedly there are impacts from many, many years ago from asteroids hitting our planet yet there is no trace of a crater the size of Mars or even a hint of such.

Next, are we to believe in a non-gravity based environment (outer space) that the debris somehow collected into an almost spherical shape when we have space junk up there that doesn't even have the hint of connecting with other space junk?

Further, are we to assume all the debris from the collision flew away not leaving any trace of left over debris that did not form the moon? And if that is the case, then why didn't the moon also just float away?

Then there is the trouble with not only the debris forming a natural sphere but then becoming a natural satellite perfectly circling the earth every lunar cycle. And it orbits just like clockwork as if it were planned. Hey, that's because it was intelligently created.

I'm no scientist but I don't have to be when such an agenda is afoot. They don't want to accept God as the maker because then they would be accountable to God.
