COMMENT: Evidently, there was abuse in a homeschool household that was allowed to adopt up to 30 children, and the coordination with the adoption agency were irresponsible in not detecting the abuses. This issue, though deeply troubling, is being used to make it difficult upon those homeschoolers that abide with proper environments. This also neglects to address the number of public school abuses that take place more often than compared to homeschool environments. These cases are used often to strip parents of their God given rights to be the responsible influencer upon their children: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). That is understood as direction to a godly set of parents and not to the government, especially since the government does not teach the proper way, which is a godly way.
