Franklin Graham Agrees With Pope Francis: Look to the Bible 'As Often As We Look At Our Cell Phones'

Article Date - 03/07/2017

COMMENT: Just like the pope, once again we are encouraged to read the Bible but no one is being told to apply it or keep it. One may get the sense that is the intent but in this "grace only" version of Christianity, keeping and applying the Word of God is looked upon as works, and that is wrong. "Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand" (Revelation 1:3). The keeping part is not optional. Yes, we are saved by grace but once we are saved, "I will shew thee my faith by my works" (James 2:18). Jesus even said, "sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee" (John 5:14).
