And "earthquakes, in divers places" (Matthew 24:7) continues to happen over and over reaffirming that we are living in the last days. Unfortunately, people have gotten quite used to such events and are part of the scoffing list (2 Peter 3:3-4). That is sad.
Humans measure time as compared to their own lives and not through the eyes of God. When the number of earthquakes is brought to people's attention, many say, "Oh, my grandparents heard about earthquakes in their day and we're still here." Yes they should have because according to a timeline in Daniel, the time of the end started even before their time. It started around 1800 A.D. So since then we ought to have been hearing a lot about earthquakes and we have.
But what we need to keep in mind is that Jesus also said, "All these [are] the beginning of sorrows" (Matthew 24:8). So that means that after 200 years of this increase in diversity of earthquakes we ought to be coming to the end of sorrows, and I believe we are. Get ready, Jesus is coming soon!
