Do you actually fall for this stuff? The article starts off with saying, "Whoever told you that caffeine is 100% bad for you has been proved wrong yet again, according to the findings of one recent study." We, who oppose the use of coffee never stated that it is 100% bad for you. In fact, the devil wants you to focus on good attributes so as to get you hooked. There are many benefits to drinking coffee. We admit that. But what problems it causes is not justified by these benefits. So they set up a straw man's argument where there is either the group that says it is 100% bad for you or you are for the use of coffee. That is not the case. It may be 95% good and only 5% seriously bad.
If any sin was 100% bad, no one would partake. We admit that there are health benefits to the use of coffee, however, just because caffeine is legal does not mean that it is any less of a drug that God disapproves of. The fact of the matter is that it alters the mind, affects the nerves in a negative way, and is detrimental to one's heart. In other words, God's way is not the permission of some good qualities and excuse other bad qualities. What we can avoid that is evil, we are responsible for.
So if the devil can prove 95 attributes of coffee that is beneficial and we can only name 5 serious negative affects, it is still wrong to use. And those that pat themselves on the back for drinking decaf, be careful. Most decaf drinks are only containing ingredients that offset the caffeine. In other words, the caffeine is still in the product.
Because people don't drop dead within a week from drinking coffee, people seem content in their ways not realizing time is just building and when they start having heart problems later in life, they will be the ones wandering why such has come upon them. "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil" (Ecclesiastes 8:11).
