How dare this retired Episcopal bishop speak on religion. What a disgrace and ignorant (uneducated) man this person is. The Bible is quite clear in declaring, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them" (Leviticus 20:13).

Further, to say that ministers are not being forced to marry gay couples is total blindness. What of these news line titles:

* City threatens to arrest ministers who refuse to perform same-sex (FOX NEWS)

* Govt tells Christian ministers: Perform same-sex weddings or face jail, fines (ALLIANCE DEFENDING FREEDOM)

* Government: Conduct Same-Sex Wedding or Go to Jail (DAILY SIGNAL)

Although some of the above references are not mainline news outlets, do not quickly dismiss these because the mainline news outlets hide the facts for the sake of the agenda.

On top of that, the fact that even if a minister believes they are protected from being forced to perform such a wedding, it does not stop the lawsuits from the LGBT people. And financially, defending oneself is quite expensive and unable to be recovered even when such defendants win. So in essence, yes, there is still a forcing going on.

Overall, this writer is a disgrace to true Christianity and in fact, is not a representation at all but is part of the "ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ" (Jude 1:4).
