Thankfully this person survived, but here is a difference between people of the world and a true Christian. True Christians are not thrill seekers and do not unnecessarily put their lives at risk. The risk true Christians take is that which befalls the spreading of the gospel. "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are" (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). Destroying the body is not just about putting bad content into the body that causes destruction but if, in the act of thrill seeking, one does not survive, they too have destroyed the temple body.
