The article blames basically "strong winds" for the drying of the land. If that were the case, how could the people cross? They would be falling all over the place being pushed by the winds. And then for the winds to stop at the precise moment to drown the Egyptians is too much of a coincidence. Besides, Moses wrote the experience down. He is the same one that wrote, "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour" (Exodus 20:16). To encourage not lying while lying is hypocritical, of which true followers of God do not practice. Moses stated, "And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry [ground] through the midst of the sea" (Exodus 14:15-16). We have a choice, throw away the hope of eternal life and believe the Bible is a lie, or accept not only the promise of eternal life but the miracles that go with it. There is no middle ground.
