Religious exemption is permitted so far by the government. For a religious organization to turn their backs on their members for legitimate exemption is no different from a symbolic representation of Jesus' words: "[some] of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute [them] from city to city" (Matthew 23:34).
