The Bible has an answer to this, "Keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane [and] vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called" (1 Timothy 6:20). When the media presents only the science falsely so called and discredits the science that supports the world flood, it is no wonder why 78% of atheists left their religious life. When schools teach only science falsely so called and keeps creation and intelligent design out of the classrooms, no wonder they have left their religious background. But who is the pope to argue in favor of keeping an open mind? A more dangerous belief is the one numerous popes and many evangelicals have ascribed to. It is the marrying of evolution and Genesis chapter 1 together. There is plenty of evidence which reveals the flood is responsible for much of which evolution claims took millions of years to form. And those items that are definitely dated beyond 6,000 years, just remember that the original items that were created were already created age. When God said in the first week, "Let there be trees", they were already many years old. Even Adam and Eve were already made older than the earth.
