"Relics, which are usually broken down into three classes, are physical objects that have a direct association with Catholic saints or with the Lord, according to Treasures of the Church, and believers say that 'God acts through relics, especially in terms of healing.'" Although the serpent on a cross (Numbers 21:9) could be considered a relic, it was destroyed later because of idol worshipping (2 Kings 18:1-4). Likewise, today it is nothing more than idol worship and should not be paraded.
