The separation between church and state may not be explicit in the constitution but the Bible shows that they were intended to be separate powers represented by two separate horns: "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." With that said, we know eventually that will not remain as intended because force of compliance, as taste of which came through COVID, will be the norm.
